Multi Health Community Center, Inc., (MHCC) is part of a learning collaboration to ensure that all staff understand the effects of trauma and that all programs and services are delivered through the lens of trauma sensitivity. Policies, programs, and our spaces are developed with the goal of helping everyone feel physically and psychologically safe. We firmly believe that healing from trauma is possible and have trained our clinical staff in evidence-based practices known to be effective in aiding the healing process. A trauma-informed approach is based on the recognition that many behaviors and responses expressed by survivors are directly related to traumatic experiences.
